This is a video with highlights from the 1967 National Basketball Association Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers. It is from the 1967 Philadelphia 76ers highlight film, by Tel Ra Productions. The Wilt Chamberlain-led 76ers finally defeated the Celtics, 4 games to 1, and went on to win the NBA Finals over the Warriors. The Bill Russell-led Celtics had won nine of the previous 10 NBA championships (including ousting the 76ers the previous season in the ECF). Boston would reclaim the title in 1968 and 1969, staking its claim as the greatest dynasty in team sports history. It was tough to watch in that this was the only season in the Celtics' incredible run that they lost with a healthy Russell (ankle injury 1958). But one has to be honest, the 76ers had a great team. Coach Alex Hannum had a plethora of weapons ... The Stilt, Greer, Cunningham, Walker, Jackson, Jones. It's a wonder they didn't win more titles. I had never seen these highlights before, they're excellent and the video quality is good. Pretty sure you're gonna like this! Copyright 1967 Tel Ra Productions.
