Tyler gives you an overview and then demonstrates the install of a Jet Pak CO2 system and Air Locker Manifold Kit. The Jet Pak system uses 20 oz CO2 bottles to operate low volume air-actuated devices from 20 - 400 psi. This kit was designed to operate air lockers like ARB or Yukon Zip Lockers but it has also been used to operate pneumatic sway bars for Jeeps and 4x4s as well as pneumatic shifters on race cars and drag bikes. A single 20 oz bottle is good for 200-500 actuations of an air locker. The Jet Pak is a great option to consider over an air compressor because there are no moving parts or wear items so it's reliable, the system is virtually maintenance free, and it operates silently. No buzzing from the compressor turning on randomly, ruining the peace and quiet of the trails. For an even simpler solution, the Jet Pak can be used with fully pneumatic toggle switches, removing the potential for electronics or wiring to cause you problems on the trail. The bottles can be filled at paintball and sporting goods stores or at home using a Inverted Tank Transfill stand.
