16.8.2024 experiment - Tonight I wnated to revisit my old gear... Fender Frontman 15 G solid state shitty amp which my mom bought me in 2007 or 2008 thereabouts. This was the the second amp I had owned. The first one was shitty combo, a Marshall Jcm 900 hi gain dual reverb with 1x12 speaker, it was crap but at that time I didn't know any better( 2003-04), my dad bought me that amp. It served me well as a clean platform, I used to plug in my Marshall BB-2 pedal into it, into the clean channel - didn't know at the time that yo ucould "stack gain" and use pedal to overdrive amp into furthere overdrive.... lack of information, I guess (when you're living in a 3rd world European country, I guess). So, my mom bought me this Fender 15g amp so I could finally practice on a guitar amp- before that, I either plracticed unplugged or I plugged my electric guitar into a home stereo (these were early 2000s, not 1990s, mind you -just goes to show what a shit hole of a counry I live in)..... and now , after all those years, having finally become a master - I don't feel cool playing thru that, it's totally not inspiring, which leads me to say - get SPARK amp (40, mini, 2,) and enjoy a good sound while you practice, it's important that the sound your hear is inspiring you. If it douesnt inspirite you, you won't enojoy the pracitcie routine -hence you wont' reach your goal as quickly as you would want to. pedals used boss tu3 - Sd1- Ns2 - ce5- Dd3
