Back in January, the Southern Electric Traction Group managed to get their preserved 4-VEP back on the mainline after a long period of restoration. Today, it carried passengers for the first time in many years as it took part in the Bluebell Railway’s diesel gala. This video is taken at Kingscote. The first clip if of the VEP being propelled towards Horstead Keynes. Then a Class 20 (D8188) hauled train arriving in the same direction, followed by the 4VEP arriving again, this time with 33111 leading. Unfortunately I was only at the Bluebell for a short time and didn’t get much video.
