Did you know mobile firms will be starting to switch off their 3G networks from this year? 📱 Mobile firms have decided to start gradually switching off their 3G networks, to make way for 4G and 5G - offering faster, better services. If you’re already using a 4G handset, you shouldn’t need to do anything. But people with older handsets without 4G, will need to upgrade. Your provider will be in touch if you’re likely to be affected. We want to make sure customers are treated fairly throughout this process, so have set out our expectations of telecoms providers during the switch-off.
