There is something magical about sticking your hands down into the soil and bringing up potatoes. This is, of course, if can even stick your hands into your soil! Growing in clay is tricky because of its tight, DENSE, soil structure. But I have found adding COMPOST and any other organic material to your garden will give even your dense, cement-like soil a nice fluffy texture all the while it fertilizes your plants for bigger yields! My homemade compost was made with: dirty/poopy chicken bedding (I use pine shavings), fallen leaves, and kitchen scraps! It took me a few years and a couple failed attempts, but I finally figured out how to bring the magic of a potato harvest back to my garden :) Above all, I hope this vlog makes you smile and your heart warm.
