He is also the Managing Partner of Intexive consulting and Member of the Advisory Board of Middle East Company for Textiles. Dr. Midani’s research mostly focuses on natural fibers and their composites, as well as sustainable product development, circular bioeconomy and biorefineries. He is one of the co-inventors of PalmFil fiber technology, which is the world’s first textile fiber and reinforcement extracted from the byproducts of pruning of date palms. Dr. Midani has his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Ain Shams University, MT in Textiles Technology and Management, and Ph.D. in Fiber and Polymer Science from NC State University. Dr. Midani is a certified New Product Development Professional (NPDP) and a member of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA).
