Abstract: In this keynote, Kostas Chalkias will address a key challenge on the path to mass crypto adoption: the recovery of lost private keys. He will provide an overview of existing recovery methods protecting users from loss of funds due to accidental loss of a private key or faulty transfer in case of a mistyped address. Additionally, Kostas will share insights into new recovery methods that do not require prior user action, paving the way for a more secure and user-friendly approach for blockchain asset management. The TUM Blockchain Conference 2024, hosted by the TUM Blockchain Club, brought together top researchers, developers, regulators, and students to share and discuss the latest trends and developments in web3.
