Welcome to our latest adventure in Oman! Join us as we explore this beautiful Middle Eastern country, filled with natural wonders, rich culture, and stunning architecture. Oman truly surprised us with its magnificent beauty, and we can't wait to share our journey with you. Our trip to Oman was part of our two-month exploration of the Middle East and Africa, centered around the 2022 World Cup. Before arriving in Oman, we visited Bahrain, Dubai, and Qatar, and after Oman, we continued our adventure to several other Arab countries before heading to Africa. In our vlog, we start our journey in Oman by immersing ourselves in the local traditions. We indulge in a traditional Omani meal, where we experience the cultural practice of eating stew and rice with our fingers. The architecture of Oman stands out with its unique charm, characterized by white buildings adorned with ornate carved doors and windows. We visit the Sultan's Palace to get a closer feel for this distinctive architectural style. Exploring the vibrant traditional market, we stumble upon a hidden African coffee place offering a panoramic view of the Oman Sea. The combination of palm trees and dense mountains creates a picturesque landscape that leaves us in awe. During our visit to the village of Jabal Akhdar, we navigate its intricate alleys and discover breathtaking viewpoints. While many homes appear deserted, the presence of lively children suggests that the village is still inhabited, creating an intriguing contrast. Our journey continues to Nizwa, a town known for its historical forts. We join the locals to watch a thrilling football match and visit Jabreen Castle, where we learn about the rich history of Oman. From its Persian roots to being conquered by the Portuguese, Oman has a fascinating past that has shaped its present. We stroll through the streets of Nizwa, heading towards the famous local market. Even the market gate is designed like a fort, reflecting the country's heritage. Despite visiting at night, we can still sense the vibrant atmosphere of the traditional market, which speaks to the safety and rarity of theft in Oman. No trip to Oman would be complete without exploring its natural wonders. We visit the Sultan Qaboos Mosque, a mesmerizing example of Omani architecture adorned with Persian elements. We then venture to the natural swimming pools, known as Wadis, to cool off and relax. We showcase two popular spots: the Bimmah Sinkhole, reminiscent of Mexican cenotes, and the boat ride at Wadi Ash Shab, where we experience the warm hospitality of the Omani people. As our Oman adventure comes to an end, we reflect on the remarkable experiences we've had in this captivating country. From its stunning landscapes to its rich cultural heritage, Oman has left an indelible impression on us.
