Iconic Bf 109 and Spitfire warbirds at sunrise over Virginia Beach

Startup, taxi, takeoff, gold. ‪@MilitaryAviationMuseum‬'s Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4 and Supermarine Spitfire Mk IXe take to the sky for an epic sunrise air-to-air photo shoot. Our concept was to recreate a "Battle of Britain" feel, although this Bf 109 variant was produced well after that time period. Prior to their restorations, both of these aircraft flew combat missions during the war. It was an honor to be a part of this special project and we are grateful to all of our pilots, the incredible warbird maintainers at MAM's Fighter Factory and Pete Lerro for organizing the shoot.
