You’ll find Jamavar in Mayfair. This restaurant has been on my London restaurant list to visit for so long so I’m super excited to be trying it as part of my Indian Michelin star series. Stand out dishes were the soft shell crab starter and the pistachio milk cake dessert. I was let down by the presentation of the lobster which didn’t look like the pictures I’d seen online, maybe they’ve changed how they present it recently and I wasn’t a fan of the surprise tomatoes in the sauce. I enjoyed the butter chicken but thought the sauce to chicken ratio was way off as there was just too much sauce. The flavours were perfect though. Overall a beautiful, intimate restaurant with excellent service, as you’d expect from a Michelin star restaurant, with some dishes standing out more to me than others.
