The Real Cause of Procrastination Explained

In order to overcome procrastination (or the passive putting off of important work even though you know it’s hurting your life) we need to understand why it happens. If you understand this, I promise that you’re about 90% there in terms of overcoming it. The other 10% is just a little tweaking and implementing of practical techniques. So, here’s the first big piece of information I’m going to give you. The reason we procrastinate is because we have low self-esteem. I want you to remember this. It really is fundamentally important to keep in mind. Now, this low self-esteem is a problem because it leads to all sorts of dysfunctional behaviour, designed to further reinforce feelings of worthlessness and inferiority. And procrastination is simply one of the ways this is achieved. The real problem is that there’s so much bad advice out there in terms of what to do about the underlying low self-esteem. Very few people understand how it originates and how it is perpetuated. You may even be thinking that it’s practically impossible to fix it. I assure you it is entirely possible to fix it. When we do, the issue with procrastination becomes very easily understood and solved. Procrastination eBook: https://www.drdavidmaloney.com/procra...
