Tannenberg: Eastern Front has now released on console, hitting both Xbox One and Playstation 4. I've played 5 hours of it. So today I'm going to try to help you to decide if it's worth your time on console or perhaps even on PC. It is a standalone expansion to Verdun, and entered Steam Early Access on November 17, 2017. Tannenberg left Steam Early Access on February 13, 2019. A console release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has was announced for July 24, 2020. Tannenberg is inspired by the 1914 Battle of Tannenberg in East Prussia. The game includes historically accurate World War I weapons, authentic uniforms and equipment, detailed injury and gore modeling, and maps based on the real battlefields of the Eastern Front. The game runs on the Unity engine and was created by independent studios M2H and Blackmill Games.
