Pwll Du Mine tunnel Blaenavon June/July 1999

This video was recorded over two weekends the 8th June and the 16/17th july 1999 shows the uncovering and excavation of the Pwll Du to Blaenavon mine tunnel by members of the Chelsea SS led by Clive Gardiner and other interested cave & mining persons/societies. It shows the excavation by digger to expose the original arched tunnel roof. Then the subsequent building of a capped access shaft. Followed by an infilling. The excavation activities were filmed by a television company for a news link and I filmed the whole proceedings as it happened. It's taken this long to be able to afford the editing equipment etc.
