But it’s equally just as absurd and bizarre. At least, at first glance. For perspective, Chaco Canyon was the economic, commercial, and cultural epicentre of America during the pre-Colombian era. You can see influences of Chacoan culture in the ruins of neighboring cities, especially in their architecture. Chaco boasted multiple Great Houses, colossal palace-like structures, featuring hundreds of rooms. The largest Great House, Pueblo Bonito, featured nearly a thousand rooms. But this is where it all stops to make sense.
