Up for sale is quite rare, top of the line Korean 2008 BC Rich KKV Kerry King Signature Speed V in Onyx with White Tribal Graphic finish. Top quality guitar, made in Korea, next one up would be USA custom shop for a lot more money. It was from the first production run of this model (not to be confused with the newer Chinese Gen II models, which are an entry level guitars). Add to that these are no longer in production as Kerry King has left B.C. Rich for Dean Guitars and you have highly collectible guitar. The guitar is a neck through body construction with 3-piece Canadian hard maple neck and maple wings, ebony fretboard with abalone tribal inlays and 24 jumbo frets on a 24.625 scale. It is equipped with USA made Kahler Hybrid Tremolo bridge with locking nut and Grover Mini-Rotomatics tuners on the Widow headstock. Pickups are EMG 81 (bridge) & 85 (neck) with 1 volume, 1 tone and a 3-way pickup selector and an EMG PA2 preamp that has an on/off mini toggle. All hardware is black except for the pre amp toggle which is chrome. It is a very well made instrument, the fretwork is spot on, no sharp edges at all. Very comfortable and fast neck with super low action makes it very easy to play fast riffs and blazing solos. With the classic EMG 81 and 85 combination the guitar sounds superb and together with a Kahler Hybrid Tremolo bridge is a ultimate metal machine. The guitar is in good condition, with visible signs of use in form of dings, scratches and small paint chips. The neck is straight, and frets are in excellent condition with only minimal fret wear, perfect working order. During its production run, the KKV was Kerry King's top of the line non-custom shop signature model. The guitar will be carefully packed to ensure safe shipping.
