"FP doesn't make sense! In the real world, state does change, so why should it not in our programs?" "I have nothing against FP, but here I need state, so I cannot use it". When OOP programmers talk about FP, they might say something like this. They know FP is about pure functions, but they are not sure how you could build an entire app in a functional style. I'm not an FP expert, but an OOP developer who is very interested in FP. In this talk, I will share my understanding of the matter. I believe that even in an OOP environment, having another perspective of how to build solutions can only bring benefits.
