Al Firdaus Ensemble is a music group based in Granada and founded in 2012 by the English violinist and singer Ali Keeler together with artists from Spain, Morocco and Venezuela. The name of the group is inspired by the Arabic word of Persian origin, al-firdaus, the highest place in paradise. The intercultural origin of this word is related to the European words "paradis" and "paradiso". Group members come from different countries and cultures and are united in a common purpose. The musicians tune their instruments and their hearts to receive the inspiration of the moment and thus invite the audience to a state of contemplation. Traditionally the group's music is defined with the Arabic word "sama", the art of listening. Nur Album was released in 2017.
