#noexpert #diyprojects #carrepair #electronics In this video I show you how I dealt with the problem that my car battery is always draining. I know car batteries have a hard time in winter, because they need to deliver high amounts of current while they are not at a good operating temperature. But in this case it’s different. Even when I charged my car battery, after a few days it is always dead. The voltage drops so low that it might cause permanent damage, but I don’t want to get a replacement just so it can get drained again. Something in the system is just not working and I suspect there is a leaking current somewhere, which is so low that it won’t trigger a fuse but so high that it drains my battery after 3 to 4 days. In order to tackle this problem, I could get a full inspection on the car wiring but that takes a lot of time and is super expensive if done by a professional. Also it’s kind of urgent because I need to get to university and work and it’s so cold that my scooters throttle froze. So for a few days, I just unplugged the battery but it quickly became annoying. Thats why I wanted to have a better solution and got this 12 Volt remote controlled kill switch that completely disconnects the battery at the press of a button.
