Sustainable development is an urgent task for the world as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and for both Vietnam and Japan. In 2014, Vietnam Japan University (VJU) is established in promoting sustainable development as a basic philosophy of the university by transmitting new values to the world. With a lot of efforts, Vietnam Japan University has now run 8 Master's programs and 1 Bachelor's program. VJU makes liberal art as a philosophy of education which train learners to the full potentials of their own. By 2035, VJU is aiming to become one of the leading Asian research universities in the field of advanced technology and interdisciplinary sciences serving sustainable development, it is necessary to train human resources with a broad perspective. This introduction is an overview on how VJU has come to the current position and its future development plan. This video is provided by JICA.
