The resilience of Afghan youth: Wining through education | Fatima Amiri | TEDxKabulUniversityStudio

Fatima Amiri, a survivor of a suicide attack on a private college in Kabul, shares her inspiring story of resilience and determination to pursue her education despite the challenges and threats she faces. She talks about how she lost an eye and an eardrum in the blast, but still managed to pass her university entrance exams two weeks later. She also explains why she chose to study computer science and how she hopes to use her skills to fight for the rights of girls and women in Afghanistan. She highlights the achievements and struggles of Afghan youth, especially girls and women, who have been denied access to education and work by the Taliban regime. She calls for the international community to support and protect the education system in Afghanistan, which has been devastated by decades of conflict and crisis. She urges the audience to join her in advocating for the right to education for all, as a means of building resilience and peace in her country. ?️ Fatima Amiri is an 18-year-old Afghan student and activist who survived a suicide attack on a tuition center in Kabul in 2021.
