The community was built in 2006 and sits 11 stories tall with 476 units in the combined two buildings. The Eclipse has many amenities like secure building access, a theatre room, a fitness center, a playground, an outdoor swimming pool and an observation deck. It also has a shuttle that comes every few minutes during the day that drops you off right at the Crystal City Metro. You are walkable right along the bike path to the Metro but having a shuttle is so convenient. In addition, The Eclipse is a mixed use development so you have ground floor retail. Currently there’s a FedEx, a grocery store, and a fast food pizza place among a few other businesses. There are studios, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom layouts. Modern is the name of the game here. Great kitchens with luxury finishes. Hardwood floors throughout. Many units feature balconies. Wall-mounted TVs are also a common theme here. I’m sure you can remove them if they are not your cup of tea but expect to see them in the units when you visit. Top 3 things you need to know about living at The Eclipse on Center Park. Harris Teeter — In the building there is a Harris Teeter. And it’s also open 24 hours. Just take the elevator down in your PJ’s and get your midnight snack. but it is a true convenience having a grocery store, a quality grocery store like Harris Teeter in the ground floor. Pet Friendly — This community is really pet friendly. No breed restrictions. The only weight restrictions is up to 60 pounds. You can have up to 2 dogs and 2 cats. I’m not sure you want 4 animals in your condo but hey if that’s your lifestyle, I’m not one to judge. And just outside The Eclipse there is a dog park and 4 Mile Run Drive so it’s really a great community and great area to have pets. Observation Deck — All the love for rooftops seem to be centered around Rosslyn and DC and we seem to forget about Crystal City but the rooftop here is great. You have unobstructed views of the Capitol, DC, and especially the airport. So you can go up to the rooftop, get your best Gary Allan on and sit up there watching airplanes. It’s really relaxing up on the observation deck and a favorite on the 4th of July.
