Is Prince Rupert, British Columbia worth visiting? (Canada's port city on the Alaska frontier!) 🇨🇦

Prince Rupert, British Columbia is one of the province's most underrated and undercelebrated towns. Located in a picture-perfect setting on the northwestern coast of British Columbia, less than 50 km from Alaska, this is the Pacific Coast at its finest. Towering snow-capped peaks juxtapose against the brilliant blue ocean, with mighty bald eagles keeping watch for the salmon that are abundant in these waters. After a short 2.5 hour train ride from Terrace, I arrived in this town of 12,200 people to spend a full day exploring town before catching my overnight ferry southbound through the Inside Passage (next vlog!). While in Prince Rupert, I made the obligatory visit to the Cow Bay Waterfront district, where I stopped at the local Cowpuccino's cafe for a morning pick-me-up, had a delicious halibut lunch at Dolly's Fish Market (the local specialty), and admired its many parks and totem poles, before heading to Fairview Bay.
