How to Make an Irish Ale Cocktail 2024E038

Welcome back to Ask Allen About Low Carb Cocktails Today I wanted to introduce a cocktail that a friend sent me. It is called Irish Ale. I think he may have sent it because the instructions were a joke, but I looked up the cocktail for the real directions and will include both. This is an Irish Whiskey based cocktail. The directions me sent said 1. Pour the Whiskey into a glass, 2. Squeeze the lime juice into another glass and 3. Add ice to the second glass. 4. Top the second glass with the Ginger Beer and stir. Finally Drink the first glass and give the second to your spouse or kids. But the actual drink mixes all of the ingredients in one highball glass, which is what we will do. Irish Ale Ingredients: • 2 oz Irish whiskey • 3 lime wedges, juiced (or 1/2 a lime depending on the recipe) • 3 oz ginger beer Instructions: 1. Add 2 oz Irish Whiskey to a highball glass. 2. Squeeze the juice from the lime wedges the glass. 3. Fill the glass with ice. 4. Top with ginger beer and stir. This is similar to a Dark and Stormy, but with Irish Whiskey instead of Rum. This is an enjoyable drink. And if you make it with the sugar free Ginger Beer as I have done, it is zero carbs. I hope you try this simple drink and enjoy it.
