GoldenEye 007 (N64) - Nice Dam, Be a Shame if Somebody Bungee Jumped Off It (The Dam Theme)

Here's a cover of the Dam Theme, from the first stage of 1997's N64 classic, GoldenEye 007! If you were in high school or college when this game came out, in spite of its now rather dated appearance, you likely played this game into the ground, and doubly likely in multiplayer mode! Most of the soundtrack of the game consists of themes that heavily lean into James Bond theme music, with the Dam Theme in the Pause Menu theme being particularly memorable (with the pause theme arguably being the most memorable!). For this arrangement, the original arrangement is pretty near perfect, so for my arrangement, in addition to digging out some of the built in keyboard samples from the Yamaha PSR-282 which has some great stand in patches for N64 and SNES sounds, I used the Surge XT synth for the main lead melody, added an acoustic guitar to give the middle of the piece some texture, and added two guitar solos on my brand new FM Esphera 7 string guitar. The low James Bond motif played in the middle of the song before the 2nd guitar solo, although not filmed, was played through the Spitfire Audio Labs Vox Humana sound. This song was alot of fun to revisit and put together, and it was a blast to track it using my new FM guitar. The extra seventh string was required for the intro riff to boot!
