INSTANT POT RAMEN EGGS I’m showing you how to make these ever-popular ramen eggs to top your next bowl of ramen or just to have as a snack. In Japanese these marinated soft-boiled eggs are called Ajitama, and they are a delicious umami treat. They are easy to make and require just a few ingredients. Ingredients: 4 eggs 1/2 cup cold water egg piercer 6 Quart Instant Pot Instant Pot trivet Ice water bath marinade: 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons Mirin (Japanese rice wine) 1/2 cup water Method: 1. Using an egg piercer, pierce the larger end of each egg. This will allow the air from the air pocket to release when cooking. As a result, the egg will have a nice oval shape when cooked, and it will be easier to peel. 2. Place a 1/2 cup of cold water and the trivet in the Instant Pot. Then place the pierced eggs on the trivet, spreading the eggs out so they are not touching each other. 3. Set the Instant Pot on low pressure for 5 minutes or 4 minutes on high pressure using the manual button. Then do a quick release. Immediately place the eggs into the ice water bath for at least 5 minutes to stop the cooking process. 4. Place the marinate ingredients in a 2-cup liquid measuring cup . 5. Peel the eggs and soak them in the marinate for 1 to 3 days. 6. The eggs are ready to eat after soaking for 24 hours. Garnish with some everything bagel seasoning and black sesame seeds (optional).
