Give Me The Simple Life (Ruby-Bloom) by Benny Goodman & his Orchestra, vocal by Liza Morrow Recording under the name Kit Carson, vocalist Liza Morrow would enjoy some success in the mid-1950s with her recording of “Band Of Gold,” but in the ‘40s she is best-remembered for the few sides that she cut with the Benny Goodman band (see also “Symphony”). “Give Me The Simple Life” was a Rube Bloom-Harry Ruby tune featured in the 1946 films “The Dark Corner” and “Wake Up And Dream.” An alternate take version of this Goodman title has also been issued over the years, but here we have the commercially released single.
