This week, I'm starting a few new experiments, not clay or glaze this time, but rather HOW I finish the bases of pots. For a long time I've trimmed them either flat or with a shallow, simple foot-well, and well, (aha), I think there's possibly more I can do! So, in this video that's what I'm testing, I throw a dozen mugs and trim their bases, searching for new ways of finishing them. I also discuss the throwing, the trimming and the handling process, all before giving you the option at the end to tell me which ones you like!
