We took a drive along a truly challenging gravel road from Van Zylsrus to Askham. Despite this, we managed to navigate it without incident and reached our destination early evening. Our overnight accommodation, Askham Chalets, exuded a delightful coziness that instantly made us feel at home. The following morning, we set out to explore the town. We stumbled upon an incredible store called the Askham Trading Post. It was filled with a diverse array of items for sale, and we couldn't resist the temptation to indulge in two delicious pies. Next we visited the Diamond T Coffee and Gift Shop. As I strolled through the shop, I was captivated by the stunning view it offered of the majestic Kalahari dunes. It was a truly awe-inspiring sight that left us feeling mesmerised. Overall, our trip to Askham was an adventure to remember.
