I head out on a 230 mile north bound solo thru hike of the Ozark Trail in Missouri. This remote trail has few options for resupply and many wet creek and river crossing that can be impassable with heavy spring rains. On the first leg of the trip, I walk 57 miles to Van Buren where I get a cheeseburger and pizza, a hot shower, a bed, and the resupply box I mailed to the Big Spring Motel.
