My idea was to create a Mother of Pearl effect using interference pigments. I have only used one tube paint. I suppose this can also go in the Liquid Gold series? After creating this I want to do a Mother of Pearl series now! Base/Pillow: British Paints Brilliant White mixed with a splash of both Pebeo Bindex and GAC 800 Colours: #TLP Twinkle TLP Glisten Liquitex Metallic Gold (only tube paint other than the CA) Colourarte Angel Wings Colourarte Gold Interference mixed with Gold Sparkle Pearlex Interference Red TLP Comet TLP Pigments can be purchased from https://fluid-art.co/ Colourarte Mermaid Scales Colourarte Violet Sparkle Colourarte Pigments can be purchased from https://www.colourarte.com/ No silicone added to any paints. All colours and pigments mixed with untinted house paint and Jo Sonja gloss varnish. I never measure ratios, I mix until it leaves a slight trace when drizzled from around and inch above the surface. The heavier the spinner, the easier it will spin, I'd also suggest you get the largest one you can so you can easily use it for larger substrates too. My metal spatulas are artist pallet knives, the smaller ones are from Mont Marte and the large one I use sometimes is a brand called The Art Studio and was bought from an independent art store.
