The Koala Sanctuary was amazing! The highlight was being able to hold the koalas. Located in Brisbane, the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the perfect place to see koala bears. It is the first and largest koala sanctuary. It has been around since 1927. The sanctuary is much like a zoo. It was fun to see multiple animals from Australia. It is truly a display of Aussie wildlife. We enjoyed seeing koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, platypi, exotic birds, crocodiles, dingos, and many more animals. We ate lunch next to the koalas as they got some new eucalyptus leaves and branches, so they were quite active as we ate. After the amazing experience of holding the koala bears, we watched the crocodile show. it was really awesome as well, and quite intense. We couldn't believe the zoo keeper would be so close. It was also fun to see the crocodile so close through the glass.
