#art #healing #timelapse Hello!! My name is hima and I've been an artist for 13 years! I love to paint and show the process. Today's painting was inspired by নিমগাছ (nimgach); a story from bengali literature where it speaks about the immense amount of benefits people take of it but never care for it as it never gave fruits directly. And this same parallel is used to describe the life of a widow of then Bengal where women were considered literal objects. And if a woman was widowed, she became the black sheep of the society. Though she did all the work, she was hated and despised as back then people believed that widowed women carried bad luck. This has changed now. However it's very beautiful and yet so hurtful to read and imagine how a widow would live back then. So inspired by that, i drew this. Hope you have a good day & thanks for reading!!
