Milwaukee woman rushes to help after witnessing deadly hit and run

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, one person is dead and another injured after a hit-and-run Saturday night. A 20-year-old and a 23-year-old were crossing 76th St. when struck by a northbound vehicle. Faith Cureton saw it happen right before her eyes around 11:50 p.m. near 76th and Good Hope. Cureton, a mother and EMT, was driving home from a restaurant when she heard the crash. "I heard tires screech and a big boom and then realized that there was somebody on the ground," Cureton recalled. "She was just laid out lifeless and I couldn't even think of a reason to not stop and offer CPR."
