SPOTIFY : https://spoti.fi/3bgp699 "Deliverance" from Opeth's "Deliverance" album (2002). A difficult riff for many reasons: timing, the three finger technique and muting. The timing will come with time, especially if you know this song by heart. Muting is mostly done by your left hand, but you can also mute the whole thing with your strumming hand. I also showed that in the full Deliverance bass cover where I played this riff with just one hand. It's a great riff for learning how to mute. But the three finger technique is why we are here I think. You should always count the notes and decide on the pattern you will play. Don't just randomly start firing away with 3 fingers. We have 7 notes (triplets) so we have a few options in terms of patterns. The easiest option for me is to look at it like 123-123-1 while starting with my index finger. If you start with the index finger, you will also end on your index finger which is how you should look at it at first. I hope that makes sense. Some important information that nobody is going to read. Tuning : E-A-D-G Artist : Opeth Bassist : Martin Mendez Album : Deliverance (2002) Song : DELIVERANCE Bass : Warwick GPS Corvette 5A Ash
