Sawyer Fredericks Stranger The Birchmere Alexandria VA Sept 4, 2016

Sawyer Fredericks Transforms his song Stranger, final performance clip is from The Birchmere Alexandria VA Sept 4, 2016. Sawyer took the stage in Alexandria with his Full Band and performed several songs after which the band exited and Sawyer performed a few solo songs. It was in the solo section of his set that Sawyer Improvised a redux version of his own song Stranger. The 9-4 show at the Birchmere in Alexandria was the final show of the long haul dates on Sawyer's Summer 2016 A Good Storm Tour. Just prior to this performance clip Sawyer strummed the guitar and explained, "I want to like...improvise, but, I'm trying to remember a song I want to change, and that I remember all the lyrics to so I don't mess up." He strummed the guitar for a few cords, uttered a long drawn out, "So...". He strummed the guitar and adjusted his Capo, sliding it down the neck of the guitar, the shift of the Capo lifted the tone of the guitar. Sawyer tilted his head down strummed a few more cords, nodding in affirmation, he lifted his head and with a big smile he said, "Alright we're gonna wing it". After a few more strokes on the guitar, he started swaying to his own beat, eyes closed, he tilted his head up and let out a low raspy quivering hum. The hum hit the microphone, vibrated out the speakers and thus the transformation of Stranger had begun. Sawyer's concert in Alexandria VA was a stop on Sawyer's A Good Storm Tour supporting his LP A Good Storm. Sawyer was joined on Tour by his band Chris Morrison on Guitar, Arthur Lee Fredericks on Bass Guitar and Bob Henderson on Drums.
