Epic Motor ATLAS Classe A Traction Elevator w/ touch sensitive fixtures - Gallery - GO, BR

An ATLAS Classe A with a nice motor and the touch sensitive Phase I Classe A fixtures. Discovered this by accident as the building is hidden in a little square behind the main boulevards. It is pristine, with the only alteration being the door sensor with an annoying beep. Some features include a bench for an operator, which is not in use as the building has so few people. The cab is very dark, and could use some more lights. Interestingly, the arrows on the COP still light up, but are very dim. Has the Westinghouse inclined arrow lanterns with the Atlas bell but at least the ones I saw, don't work at all anymore, which is a shame. It also has the Classe A phone with the original instructions sticker, but it was very dark. The motor is the main attraction here: DC motor, probably an SE machine from Villares, with the characteristic DC pulsing sound. It is audible throughout the entire shaft but not too loud. The ride isn't bad, I would consider it as "normal". No bumps and a very smooth decceleration. Takes a bit to level but nothing too long, quite standard for an older elevator. In the end, a more simple Classe A with an epic motor. If this was installed nowadays, would probably be just a plain 3300. Glad that it's being kept properly.
