It has a densely rich texture complimented with a delicious homemade frosting and an easy no bake crumble. For the cake ——————————————————————— 1 box of strawberry cake mix 1 box (3oz) strawberry instant pudding mix 4 eggs 1 cup of buttermilk 1 cup melted butter @ room temp (or oil - also works perfectly) 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 tsp lemon/lime zest Buttercream Frosting ——————————————————————- 1 cup of butter @ room temp (2 sticks) 2 1/2 cups confectioner’s sugar 1 tsp pure vanilla extract Strawberry Crunch crumble ——————————————————————— 1 box Nila cookies (or any vanilla cookies) 1 box (3oz) strawberry gelatin mix 1/2 cup of butter (1 stick ) @ room temp Mix the cake batter and bake using the box cake instructions. Mine took 35 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Let the cake cool down completely. Mix the frosting, assemble and Enjoy! Tip: Make the crumble ahead of time and let it get dry for at least 1 hr before using. I put mine in the refrigerator for the butter to dry up faster!
