It's Mum's birthday so we had a trip to the fine dining restaurant Bosun's which is set in an idyllic location on the River Ouse just south of York and is located on The Boatyard Marina in Bishopthorpe, a quaint village a few miles outside York. The octagonal restaurant sits on stilts, to guard it against floods of the River Ouze that is adjacent. Terraces surround the restaurant with fantastic river views. Bosun’s offers a brunch and evening menu, catering for both low-key and celebratory occasions. "Using innovative cooking techniques to create a contemporary yet honest menu, quality locally-sourced seasonal ingredients are at the heart of our offering.
