Hello students you may have several questions/doubts about Vernier caliper. here I am publishing some video which will solve all you doubts. vernier caliper is an instrument that is used to measure leng more precisely upto second digit of decimal. to measure something from vernier caliper we need to know some important facts about vernier caliper. We must have knowledge least count of Vernier Caliper second we should know zero error of it. there can be positive or negative zero error in vernier caliper. if there are zero error in vernier caliper it means that the measurement carried out from vernier caliper is in accurate. now if you do not have knowledge about determination of zero error you don't need to worry I explained the procedure for measurment of zero error After watching this video you will be able to determine zero error of vernier caliper of any kind. let's take an example- suppose there is positive error in vernier caliper it should be noted like +0.05 and if there is negative zero error we must write it as -0.05 (always use sign with calculated zero error) after successful determine zero error take measurement from vernier caliper suppose we are measuring diameter of a Bob and it comes to 2.31cm now you have to correct this measurement since we have zero error in our vernier caliper. special case -1 if there is no zero error in vernier caliper than our extract measurement is 2.31cm now we need to correct the zero error what so ever there is positive or negative zero error in vernier caliper, zero error is always subtracted from final value of measurement. special case 2 if there is positive zero error in vernier caliper we must correct our measurement correct ans= measured vale-(zero error with sign) correct answer= 2.31-(+0.5)=2.26cm our and is 2.26cm special case 3 if there is negative zero error in vernier caliper we must correct our measurement correct ans= measured vale-(zero error with sign) correct answer= 2.31-(-0.5)=2.31+0.05=2.36cm our and is 2.36cm I got many comments on my previous videos hope this will also be helpful for you and me 😃 with best hopes!!
