Canoe Camping Alone Adirondacks Saint Regis Canoe Area | Day 2

Canoe Camping alone in the Adirondack wilderness. On day 2 as I finish my traverse through the heart of the Saint Regis Canoe Area. I start on a freezing cold morning at Fish Pond then explore Little Fish Pond, Little Long Pond West, Lydia Pond, Kit Fox Pond, Nellie Pond, Bessie Pond, Long Pond, Slang Pond, Turtle Pond, and finish at Hoel Pond. If I thought day 1 was hard... day 2 was even tougher as I had to portage my 15 ft canoe on the toughest, longest carry of the year through deep mud and steep, rocky terrain... all while carrying a 110 liter backpack. In the final stretch of the trip I faced nasty headwinds... just one last gift from the Adirondack Gods. This trip was super tough — but dang — I sure enjoyed the heck out of it. My Placid Boatworks Rapidfire was made for this kind of adventure... being made of carbon fiber and kevlar and very light weight. I hope you enjoy the adventure and thanks for watching. * IMPORTANT NOTE ON DRONE USE* Before launching a drone be aware of the FAA rules on usage and restrictions. The Adirondacks also have their own set of rules regarding drone use. You are not allowed to launch and operate a drone from within the Saint Regis Canoe Wilderness. My shots were taken outside the no-fly boundary and the drone kept within my line of sight. Outside of the technical rules... and as a basic human courtesy... I also take special care to make sure I am not interrupting anyone's camping or nature experience. If people are around in these peaceful places... the drone stays grounded.
