We visited Shimla in Himachal Pradesh in the peak of summer. We had to leave Shimla early because of the forest fires and we decided to visit Tirthan Valley since we still had many days of my mom's India tour left before she went back to Finland. We stayed at the Blue Sheep Hostel for a few days and explored the town of Banjar and the areas around the Tirthan river. One day we went hiking by the river and it was a memorable experience. Most other days though, we were lounging in the garden at the hostel and enjoying our food.
