High uric acid is a condition termed as gout. It can be physiological in certain instances in people who consume high protein diet, in alcoholic patients. Sometimes it reaches very high levels in depositing these uric acid crystal levels in various joints. It can result in acute gout which is experienced as severe excruciating pain in all major and minor joints of the body. It can be treated in 2 ways, by symptomatic treatment and curative treatment. The symptomatic treatment is by usually by using regular pain killers. They need not be used for long periods of time. They need to be used only for shorter periods of time to get symptomatic relief.
