Produced in 1951 by the Department of Public Instruction Queensland with the cooperartion of Ansett Travel Service, this film sets out to track a journey from Sydney to Brisbane. The film compromises of several aerial shots, especially of Sydney from the 1950s, but predominantly we follow a bus as it travels up the east coast of Australia. From Sydney, we then get glimpses of Gosford, Newcastle Port Macquarie, Taree, Kempsey Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Lismore, Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads in New South Wales before entering Queensland through Coolangatta. The bus continues on to Brisbane through the Gold Coast. This video has a fantastic portryal of Australian coastal towns, including holidays resorts, infrastructure and farmland during the 1950s.
