DIY - STEP BY STEP, on a LT 17B. Great useful RV Upgrade / Modification! If you have a Coleman RV/Travel Trailer, you need this. (And for many other RV like Dutchman Brands.) Sometimes called struts, shocks, or even gas openers, these things will make dealing with RV door much easier. If you have RV cabinet doors that open upwards, YOU NEED THIS UPGRADE / modification. They even help keep your doors closed while driving down the road. Everyone likes to talk about how much they dislike the flopping cabinet doors. Other people like to comment on how they LOVE their cabinet door struts. But I haven't found any videos on installing them. Is it as easy as it looks? Well sort of... Really good tip for the Coleman / Dutchman RVs ---- 90% of what we buy for the RV, comes from Amazon. The rest is usually from Walmart or Harbor Freight. I would post Amazon links but they are typically VERY long and they change quite often. If the seller changes one small detail, the link completely changes. We are traveling in a one of a kind Coleman 17B. The 17B is the lowest priced RV in the market for its size. I tend to think of the 17B as a starter kit that owners can personalize to fit their own needs and tastes. Virtually every one is a “one of a kind” project. We have completed over 50 upgrades or modifications on ours.
