Today, I'm gonna show you guys how I managed to create a PRACTICAL hidden blade from Assassin's Creed that can actually be used WITHOUT needing a string mechanism. Matter of fact, a hidden blade POWERED BY PHYSICS. If you’ve ever played Assassin’s Creed, you KNOW the hidden blade is one of the most iconic weapons in gaming history. But here's the thing: most real-life hidden blade builds aren’t actually all that practical within the context of Assassin's Creed. This is because having a string based mechanism that would activate your hidden blade based on wrist flexion, it would inhibit one of the Assassins' primary actions done in every game: Climbing. Activating the hidden blade within this context, as well as climbing, follows the EXACT same biomechanics. But thankfully, after years of trying, I managed to create a PRACTICAL hidden blade that didn't have to rely on "advanced mechanics" but rather the laws of physics instead. No strings attached (literally). This model that I created, would allow you to eject the blade, retract the blade, have a locking mechanism that would allow you to use it, and MOST IMPORTANTLY allow me the ability to climb without the hidden blade being triggered accidently. After years of trial and error, I finally cracked the code using gravity, friction, and velocity instead of string based mechanisms.
