#52 - Winter is Coming | Replacing Broken Roof Tiles and Pruning Olive Trees & Vines

As winter approaches, Michael gets to work fixing some old broken roof tiles and we get busy with some much-needed pruning of the olive trees and grapevines. We've managed to harvest a few olives in the process but the crop hasn't been great this year. Hopefully, a good prune will help this in the coming years, though! Finally, Michael also begins to empty out the barn nextdoor to the cabin in the hope this will give us some extra storage space and maybe even somewhere for plucky guests to stay! About Us 🏚️👫🏼🐈🐕🐕 We're Michael & Becci (the humans) and Tilly (sassy English tortoiseshell cat), Alfie and Anoushka (Portuguese rescue dogs). After four years in Portugal and numerous dreams about renovating our own property, we've taken the plunge and are renovating a schist stone house and its outbuildings in Figueiró dos Vinhos. We're doing most of the work ourselves (or... Michael is!) and we'll be stepping back in time to create a character property with as many original features and antiques as possible.
