Restoring a Statue of St Joseph and Jesus

This video documents the restoration of a plaster-on-wood statue of St. Joseph and Jesus. The statue maker and the year are unknown. But it was brought to us in bad shape - the neck almost completely severed, some major structural cracks inside and out, and heavily peeling and bubbled layers of paint. The plaster had broken off from the wooden interior structure and had to be repaired before the restoration could begin in earnest.
