A few weeks ago, I was working on my Trailer Set-up when I had an unfortunate accident. I was removing my trailer from my truck when the jockey wheel slid off and hit me under my knee and graze my sheen before dropping on my right foot. I could see the effect straight away as it immediately swelled up. The doctor said I've got Lisfranc Fracture, which back in the day the only solution for this is amputation 😢. I was told they're going to remove a few bone fragments before they'll put a plate and screw it up. Yes! That's how bad my foot got crushed! Funny Story: As this happened, my neighbour heard the loud bang when the trailer hit the ground. As I heard him say, "Are you alright, Clarky?" and saw him walking towards me, I slowly walked around my trailer and sat on the grass. I was in so much pain and tried to compose myself as my neighbour approached. He saw how swollen my foot was but didn't want to move me so he sat there with me. I was doing some heavy breathing and tried to calm myself as much as I could. He then asked me, "I can't believe you're so calm. If it was me, you'd be hearing all the swear words you could find in the books." I just smiled and remained calm. As my son was preparing the car so he could take me to the hospital, my good friend and neighbour then asked me again if he could help with anything. I said I'm okay while trying to get up. And as he helped me stand up, he thought I'd go straight to the car but told him I needed to wash my hands and get changed first. He shook his head and probably thinking why I'm concerned about getting changed and washing my hands when I should be going to the hospital. As my son was driving me to the hospital, he asked me if I'm okay. I told him, "No, I'm in so much pain 😫. I'm just embarrassed to cry and complain in front of Ryan (my neighbour)" 🤣🤣🤣. My pride was too much that I held myself as much as I can. Well, because of this incident, I won't be able to do any work for a while and get better first as fast as I can.
