Ahead of the Bluebell’s first diesel gala since 2018, two of the last Bluebell’s guest visitors would arrive to the railway via the mainline. These guests would be Class 37 No. D6851 ‘Flopsie’ courtesy of locomotives services and 4 vep unit 3417 ‘Gordon Pettitt’. Which although is technically owned out right by the Bluebell, is currently based at Strawberry Hill and being worked on by the amazing people at the Southern Electric Traction Group with the aim of returning Gordon Pettitt to the mainline while also visiting heritage railways. Side note here, due to the fact I was at work this video is much shorter than I had originally planned. Did also manage to see the pair a third time however I had no time to unload the tripod and film in time. Locomotives featured: Class 37 No. D6851 ‘Flopsie’ 4 vep unit 3417 ‘Gordon Pettitt’.
